According to the World Health Organization, 8 out of 10 women in
Nigeria uses skin lightening product, but in the movie industry, it
looks like the trend for all actresses aside a selected few.
It is
generally believed that the lighter skin actresses sell movies better
than the darker ones but Ini Edo who is dark skinned isn’t impressed
with her skin bleaching colleagues. She shared her thoughts…
“I think it’s the silliest thing to do. It’s a big sign of lack of confidence. And I have never been tempted to do it.”
