The mother of Konbowei Friday Benson, Speaker of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, was abducted by unknown gunmen in the early hours of Monday.
The woman was reportedly kidnapped from her home town, Korokorosei, in the Southern Ijaw council area of the state.
